Look here! A great event in the garden of Craighurst Guest House on Saturday the 1st of May.
With famous “whisky” writers, great food and live scottish music. I’d better get my trompet tuned!!!
Yes! We did it! Craighurst Guesthouse has been awarded the Hospitality Assured Award.
This accreditation focuses on the customer experience. It takes into account the customer opinion and considers all the aspects of service from the customers’ point of view.
We thought this award would be a good excuse to throw a party for Craighurst’s customers. Everyone who makes a booking in September, quoting Hospitality Assured, will get a jummy, scrummy chocolaty treat on arrival. Enjoy!
Last week Craighurst Guest House became even more Craighurst. Our tailor made corporate clothes are ready!
Joanneke Kruijsen from Ethical Classics has made shirts and aprons with the Craighurst logo. Have a look on http://www.ethicalclassics.com/en/corporate-clothing/ to learn more about her business. We are wearing it, loving it and feel it is a perfect fit!
Nippy, frosty days put Springtime at the back of our heads, yet the Craighurst garden grounds are already on our mind. Being the neighbouring back yard of the Strathisla Distillery, we just have to make sure that this year our guests don’t think they are Tarzan and Jane in the jungle, going on a whisky expedition.
This Christmas, Santa Claus brought a chain saw for Peet. You can imagine he is eager to start cutting here, there and everywhere. Wouldn’t it be great to experience this year to see where you are actually going whilst sniffing not only flowers, but also whisky fragrances coming from next door? And on top of that, wouldn’t it be fantastic to bring some plant or flower seeds from your home town and watch it grow in our whisky garden?
To really feel like a lord or lady laird of a piece of Scottish land, we have allocated a nice, sunny spot behind the apple trees and next to the brambles where you can dig holes, plant seeds, give water and watch things grow. When you are not around Bent and Ferre will be proud to look after this special green and colorful spot.
You might think this is just a joke, but it is not. We believe that 2009, the year of the Homecoming www.homecomingscotland.com, is a great opportunity to (re)discover your roots and feel connected with Scottish ancient land.
We warmly invite you and hope to welcome you home soon!
P.s.
Watch VisitScotland’s Homecoming advert and spot Craighurst’s next door neighbour:
Scotland’s oldest working distillery; the Strathisla
